Restoring a classic Vespa is much like cultivating a bonsai or brewing a great beer—it demands patience, attention to detail and a genuine passion for craftsmanship.
This 1984 PX is the result of that philosophy, rebuilt from the ground up to enjoy the road for years to come!
For nearly three years, this Vespa PX had been left unused in a garden, protected only by a simple cover and exposed to the elements.
Time had taken its toll—rust was visible almost everywhere and the frame was no longer straight, making the restoration far more challenging than it first appeared.
Despite its condition, I saw the opportunity to preserve a timeless icon and give this Vespa the second life it truly deserved.
Every component was carefully removed and inspected.
Only by taking the Vespa completely apart could its true condition be revealed and a proper restoration begin.
The frame
Sometimes, restoring the future begins by removing the past. Sandblasting uncovered the Vespa's true condition and revealed that extensive body repairs would be required before the restoration could move forward.
